LEAG Service Award

The Lunar Exploration Analysis Group Service Award was presented to Dr. Charles “Chip” Shearer from the University of New Mexico at the 2024 Annual Meeting. This award recognizes a lunar science and exploration community member who has exhibited exemplary service to the LEAG community.  The selected individual demonstrate an extensive track record in the field of science, innovation, and/or exploration of the Moon. Examples of service to the LEAG community can include, but are not limited to Excellence in leadership, Continuous dedication to mentoring, Enriching the early-career community, Service to LEAG committees and Advocacy for the advancement of lunar science and exploration or the LEAG community.
